Sade is back and I am sooo ready !! Til this day "Best of Sade" is CD 6 in my deck, when I am driving home at night it just relaxes me to the tenth. Im sure Mik is also pleased to hear the great news my fellow ethi! I can not wait to hear what this strong beautiful woman has to say.
For anyone that didnt go to this show on Sunday definitely missed out on one of the greatest hip hop shows of all time!! Jay is my absolute favorite rapper so excuse me for being bias, with Wale, NERD, J.Cole all opening for him it was bound to be a high energy amp'd show from the jump! We had all access so we were chatting it up with Wale, Pharrell, and Lupe. Wale sucks, I hate his personality. Pharrell is definitely a cool dude and Lupe is sooo humble!! Anyway besides all that, Rihanna cam out to show love to perform her new single Bad, off her Rated R album droppin this month.
Jay killllled it performing all his hit singles, from Reasonable Doubt to the BP III. I wass out my seat the whole show, anticipating for Beyonce to come out then it definitely would have been a show worth the $. He of course ended it with Encore which defintely had the crowd going!
On a fashion tip, Wale talks so much about how hes LV'd out and sooo fresh! WOMP he looked like a regular dude I guess he shows no love to LA. Pharrell all BBC'd out, looking good as usual! The crowd was dipped in The Hundreds, Black Scale, total street wear I was definitely glad to see that! Unusually there wasn't that much Crooks on the kids backs!
Shout outs to my boy Gavin, that got some footage from the show!
Okay, being at the Yank's Game or seeing Jay perform? Well tonight catch em both! It has already came on so you know I got to post up my favorite rapper performing at my favorite baseball teams Game 2 for the world series! On FOX he performed, check it!
Just in time to make the cut for Music Monday, otherwise I would've had to make up something like Tune in Tuesday! I run a fashion blog but of course like we all know music and fashion always coincide, I listen to instrumentals when I work it just eases the mind at all means. This monday I want to tune in to shine a little or should I say BIGGER light on a friend of mine, Carter. From his past mixtape I was automatically hooked, his upbeat, country slangin sound is a complete formula for some feel good music! He now has a new mixtape properly titled "Legal Trappin" it's 11 songs with dope ass bob ya head beats, that kinda distract you from what he's really spittin about! In a nutshell he's a country boy telling a tale about his life on the mic, girls, and everyday in the streets of LA. A dose of imagery for you to draw your own picture of what he's tellin as well. I would say this mixtape is a little slower than the previous one and on some more heart felt real stuff. He went a different direction from his freshman mixtape, he gives the audience a chance to really get to know who Carter really is. For example there's a track called SDF which is the motto stapled to his name (Stay Down Forever) which personally is one of the realest songs on the whole album "Eat good, Drink good, smoke better. Winter spring summer fall, the hoes try to get us" only exudes a determined mindset for success and no road blocks will stop him, only make him stronger.
Legal Trappin, Carter doing sh**t his way, from the bottom to the top!

I do have to agree with Def this is a all time classic video.N.E.R.D is very underrated as a band everyone wants to glorify Pharrell when he collabs with the rap industry but no mention to the band.SMH.Dont worry I will make it my duty to keep em ALIVE!Watch for your enjoyment ;-)

MY OBJECTIVE:
Okay, so im catching on to this blog stuff late! Now im apart of the rest of the socially addicted blog writing cult. I hope that I can contribute my lifestyle into this blog by adding my thoughts on current fashions, music, street culture, and art scene. Fashion is my "thing" just as every proverbial female walking on this earth right? Well im glad to say im not that outburst of "oh i wanna start my own line and be different from all these other lines" type girl. I wake up and throw something on. Its not about what brands you wear, how much you pay for it,or where you got it from,Its about how you put it together.I think I can claim someone GOOD when they can make a pair of outdated jeans a rugged tee and some sneakers a good LOOk. Im more behind the scenes with this ish*.I feel like Im the outsider looking in.Im tryna bring a more chill vibe to this scene.Im so sick of this whole GLAMOUR world, you gotta have your skirt this short and ur shirt showing that much bla bla bla im over it,wheres the originality now days.Theres no more swag in 09 cause everyone looks alike, which sets no one apart from the next guy. I wanna walk down melrose and NOT see every dude in true religions and v neck graphics or affliction tees, I wanna walk down the street and not see every girl with different color jeans and scarfs around theyre neck! Yall all just make me so queasy!Everyone is brain washed to believe that whatever Kanye wears is the shit, when all I see are a bunch of idiots walking around with colorful glasses and "retro" sneakers.Ha!Pitiful.Not to hate on Kanye but there is only one I dont want to see clones.Clothing is used to express your INDIVIDUALITY so use the tools around you to seek out who you really are.
